The Whole Fragment is a media theory book by Amelia Bryne that coalesces the writing and research of The Whole Fragment blog ; the book and blog are co-evolving.

The book theorizes the ‘new media documentary’, the ways it represents information, and the kinds of ‘films’ it makes. It investigates the concepts of interface, duration and replicability (space / time / number), and new production and distribution models.
